Blake Nolan is a big, hairy brute with a goatee and luxurious chest hair. Clad in a dirty t-shirt and jeans, Blake Nolan enters his motel room with a couple cans of beer. He checks himself out in the mirror and the scene switches from b&w to color as soon as he lifts his shirt. He poses and admires himself in the mirror as he drinks more beer.
He sprawls over the bed, stretches, massages his feet, and paces around the room, then pulls off his pants and heads to the bathroom for a shower. It’s obvious he’s anxious about something.
